Improve Your Communication

SiteScripter provides three methods for for improving communication with and between your staff members: Member Comments, Forums, and Notices.

Member Comments

Member Comments can be added to the bottom of any published web page on your intranet by any staff member who is allowed to view that page. This provides a way for your staff to augment or correct the information being presented on a web page.

Forums

Forums provide an interactive way for your staff to discuss issues related to their work in your library. Unlike discussion lists, Forums do not fill up your staff members' mailboxes with unwanted messages. Your staff can view an entire discussion thread and mark the postings they have read. Using the SiteScripter content editor, they can post rich-text messages for others to read. Any number of forums can be created. Any number of topics can be created within a forum and up to 10,000 messages can be posted to each topic.

Notices

The Notices tool allows authorized staff members to send email messages to groups of people working in your library. Used in conjunction with the Groups tool, this provides a simple method for reaching specific people, for example, sending an email message to all of the chairs of the committees in the library.
